Thai Hair Transplant Doctor Gains Global Recognition, Advancing Thailand Toward Becoming Asia’s Regional Hub
A prominent Thai hair transplant physician has taken the international stage once again.
Dr. Ben Butwong, widely known as “Dr. Ben”, a long-practicing hair restoration doctor and founder of Mediren Clinic, was invited as a guest lecturer and trainer at the annual conference of the Indonesian Society of Dermatology (PERDOSKI), held recently in Bali, Indonesia. She delivered a detailed presentation on Long Hair FUE, a technique she has refined through many years of clinical experience.
Dr. Ben’s participation as an invited speaker highlights her role as a regional leader in the field of Hair Transplant Thailand. Her presence at the conference also served as an important opportunity to foster academic collaboration and strengthen medical technology related to hair transplantation across Southeast Asia.

As the chairperson of the conference, Dr. Ben emphasized the importance of elevating Thailand’s standards within the field. The event brought together hair transplant specialists from public and private sectors nationwide, as well as experts from over ten countries across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
One of the significant highlights was the Live Surgery Workshop, hosted at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. The session allowed both Thai and international physicians to exchange practical knowledge and experiences—an essential step toward strengthening Thailand’s position as a future center of excellence in hair transplantation.
The event also received official support from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), further highlighting the role of Hair Transplant Thailand in driving the country’s medical tourism landscape.
Beyond her leadership in international conferences, Dr. Ben continues to be recognized for her expertise in FUE Megasession and Long Hair FUE. These techniques require precision, consistency, and a deep understanding of individual follicular structures. Previously known by her full name, Dr. Benjawan Butwong, she remains dedicated to training new physicians in Thailand and has built a longstanding reputation through her work at Mediren Clinic.
